Assistant Manager (Corporate Initiatives) Job description
Employment: Full Time

JOB PURPOSE / ROLE:
Assist the Manager - Business Transformation and QPM’s Senior Management in managing and delivering corporate initiatives and strategic projects within the approved cost, timelines and quality. The incumbent will also be responsible to ensure that all projects cycles are completed while meeting agreed project parameters, standards and objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the Manager - Business Transformation in identifying, preparing and managing corporate initiative programs and drive their implementation, as necessary.
  • Assist with the execution of special projects in consultation with the Manager - Business Transformation as well as QPM’s management team.
  • Support initiative owners in formulating project implementation plans (i.e. financial targets, milestones, resources etc.) and provide change management support to departments as necessary.
  • Facilitate effective reporting and delivery of all corporate initiatives and strategic projects for QPM. Ensure that all projects are being executed within stated timelines, required quality standards and budgets.
  • Assist with project planning and delivery of projects as per the acceptable quality standards and within timelines and budgets.
  • Develop project charters highlighting the business case, established operational plans and budgets for the various initiatives and projects to be undertaken by QPM.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and / or external consultants to ensure successful execution of assigned project(s). Monitor the work of external consultants to ensure they deliver within the agreed timeframe and quality.
  • Track, monitor and report progress on initiative implementation and initiate corrective actions to address the shortfalls where required.
  • Develop and share case studies based on project learnings.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of organizational development systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
  • Prepare and submit reports highlighting the overall performance and new initiatives to the Manager - Business Transformation for review.
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned by Manager - Business Transformation, as per business requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline is required.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or any related discipline will be preferred.
  • PMP Certification is mandatory.
  • Experience:
  • At least 10 years’ of relevant experience in a Corporate PMO role preferably within the Real Estate Development is required. Experience in corporate planning and performance management is desirable.
  • Previous experience in the Middle East is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of the Real Estate and Property development industry.
  • Good awareness of market dynamics.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Analytical and problem - solving abilities.
  • Detail focused and result oriented.
  • Ability to work well under pressure within timeframes.
  • Team player with good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written in English is required.
  • Arabic skills will be preferred.
