Recruitment and L&D Coordinator

As Recruitment and L&D Coordinator, your main responsibilities will be to support both the Cluster Recruitment and the Cluster Learning & Development Managers in their daily tasks, assisting mostly with administrative tasks, as well as daily operations.

Fairmont The Palm is a luxury, world-class resort located on the iconic Palm Jumeirah Island in Dubai. The hotel features 391 guest rooms and suites with dedicated Fairmont Gold rooms and lounge. A total of 11 food and beverage outlets on property offer international dining options including Little Miss India, Frevo - Brazilian Churrasco experience, Seagrill Bistro, Ba Restaurant and Lounge, Blowfish, Flow Kitchen, The Cigar Room, Vuvuzela and others. Fairmont The Palm also features an expansive pool and beach area with a health club, Willow Stream Spa and the Fairmont Falcons Kids’ Club.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Induction for the new joiners, including welcome card, lockers, and T&C printouts
  • Conduct T&C Induction with entry level new joiners
  • Schedule interviews for Cluster Recruitment Manager
  • Apply visas once the new joiners are confirmed, in liaison with the Government Relations team
  • Complete the references check for entry-level colleagues
  • Prepare the Offer Letters for entry-level colleagues
  • Assists with filing and tracking of T&C documents, both related to Recruitment and Training.
  • Ensures training attendances, certificates, performance reviews are tracked and updated in an efficient manner. Maintains accurate and up to date records of all training activities – including On the Job Training and Department Training Calendars.
  • Assists in driving the colleague’s recognition program and organize celebration with the Talent & Culture Team. Assists with the coordination and organization of employee relation activities including Employee Recognition events and Yearly Staff Parties
  • Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
  • Administers the purchasing process for training materials. Maintains accurate inventory of all supplies and equipment within T&C and L&D.
  • Keeps the internal communication boards current, organized and exciting.
  • Ensures colleagues are aware of and use all training tools available in the company and in the property, including INES and all the different courses available in it.
  • Manages all cross training requests and maintain all records.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Background of Human Resources, preferably in a luxury hotel
  • Ability to train and develop team members
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take initiative
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Flexible personality and able to multi tasks and cope well under pressure
  • Excellent knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint and Word
  • Perfect communication skills, written and spoken English
