Dow has an opportunity as Customer Manager located in Dubai, with special focus in Dow Industrial Solutions (DIS) business. Industrial Solutions is the sum of two distinct business units - Industrial Specialties and Performance Intermediates - each with different features, needs and opportunities and unique strategies designed to deliver growth. As Customer Manager, you will focus on serving and facilitating Industrial Specialties consisting of high margin, differentiated products that are produced from flexible manufacturing locations. The business model is often focused on identifying custom, tailor-made solutions to address customer needs.

About you

As Customer Manager, you will manage the sales of medium/large, complex, and geographical diverse accounts (International & National Oil Companies, Key Distributors and Strategic partners) in Middle East where business has a value-added position with the key objective to maintain, then grow in alignment to the sales/marketing plan. The role includes capturing, probing, and identifying sales opportunities with customers, as well overseeing orders and maintenance on customer accounts. This role also has responsibilities in the areas of assisting customers, delivery solutions and ensuring customers follow established Dow DIS sales practices.

Also, you will work on the following tasks:

  • Manage account portfolio - prepare and implement account plans.
  • Lead and coordinate customer relationships.
  • Develop and execute sales/marketing plan, delivering both value and volume.
  • Collect and utilize market intelligence to shape sales/marketing plan.
  • Lead/conduct negotiations and implement price change.
  • Collaborate with other function(s) stakeholders to deliver improving CX results.
  • Use CRM, DSR, CMT, Smart Pricing at “expert” level.
  • Deliver growth, including cross business opportunities.
  • Understand short vs long term tradeoffs and are able to articulate them for win solutions.

Teamwork: Demonstrate integrity, diversity, and actively share knowledge through mentoring globally, while maintaining an effective work-life balance. Participation in MMTs and S&OPs as sales focal point is also a key activity.

Required qualifications

  • Minimum a bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering or related
  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Marketing and Sales roles in the Oil and Gas and/or Specialty Chemical industry
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Being able to build strong customer relations
  • Have problem solving attitude, strong analytical thinking, applies experience and knowledge to resolve issues
  • High level of proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Your preferred qualifications include:
  • Having an additional degree in Business Administration/Management is a plus
  • Proficiency in a local language is a plus

This position is based in Dubai. International relocation support is not available.
